I was only about 2 hours away from home. I was driving and needed take a potty break. Now it would be most inconvenient to actually stop at a gas station, find parking, wait for people to shop etc…. so as we usually do, I just pulled over on the shoulder of the off ramp and proceeded to relieve myself. Right when I was finishing I heard a very UNfamiliar voice say something to me. I looked over my shoulder and as I was shaking the drips I realized there was a cop standing right behind me. After a few empty threats to take me in and put a indecent exposure charge on my record, he let me go with the advice to “make better decisions next time.” How about you just let me pee and go catch some bank robbers and drug dealers. Anyways, we made it home to the gorgeous greens, the crisp air, and beautiful Washington sky. I couldn’t be happier than to be here.

It’s ‘Bout Damn Time we did a headlining tour!

That’s right! Finally, you will get to see This Providence in all their glory, playing a longer set, having more fun that ever, and just being awesome! Hahaha. (well, hopefully awesome) We are stoked to announce today that we will be doing our first ever headliner with some great bands: The Audition, Anarbor, The Bigger Lights, and Artist Vs. Poet (on select dates).

I’ve heard more and more people just asking us and bugging us this year to do a headliner. It’s long overdue, but we are stoked to finally get to do this. A few things you may want to know. We will be playing Who Are You Now? in its entirety within our set. We are going to make a list of old songs that we can play and will have someone go down the line before the show so you can vote. So we will have a varied set list every night. We will be doing a meet-and-greet for the fist 20 people in line at each show where we will be playing a couple acoustic songs and even a new unreleased song that you’ll only be able to hear at the meet and greet.

We have the best fans in the world. It doesn’t matter what tour, when we play on the bill, how far away we are… you know who you are! You’re the ones who are always first in line and always at the front of the barricade singing every word to every song and even when no one else at the show really cares for us, you guys make it worth it. So we are stoked to finally have a tour for you!
